Q: Are Hydrate IV treatments safe?
A: Yes, all of our Hydrate IV infusions are safe. Our medical doctor will consult with you about your medical history and offer a plan of treatment based on your specific information. Hydrate Health & Wellness reviews your comprehensive medical history to ensure safe administering of treatments in consideration of potential allergies. If a client presents allergic reactions to any medications, our team of highly trained registered nurses are qualified to take the proper steps to correct and respond to the issue.
Q: Does it hurt?
A: It’s no more painful than a tiny pinch. We use small gauge needles for all our treatments, so most IV’s have little pain associated with them.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: We do not accept insurance. We provide our mobile IV services at a reasonable price that ensures the highest level of quality and care. Hydrate Health & Wellness IV infusion treatments are typically less expensive than most copays and offer services at a fraction of the cost compared to emergency rooms and urgent cares.
Q: How do I prepare for my IV infusion?
A: Prior to the arrival, we recommend consuming plenty of water and having a bite to eat for best results.
Q: Are there side effects to IV infusions?
A: Major side effects are rare. However, any time there is a needle physically entering the skin, there is a small risk of infection, bleeding, bruising, and slight pain. Our team of registered nurses take all medical precautions to avoid these common side effects by including proper preparation, proper needle size, and topical medications to help reduce pain. Occasionally, our clients might report cooling of their arm or a warm sensation as nutrients enter their bloodstream. These are normal non-medically concerning sensations.
Q: Does IV therapy work?
A: When nutrients are infused into the bloodstream by IV, or given intramuscularly, they bypass the digestive system which in turn increases cellular bioavailability to nearly 100%, unlike traditional oral supplements that have an absorption rate of 25%. This means our bodies are able to obtain higher vitamin concentrations because they are not broken down by the GI system and can get to work to repair your body, restore your vitamin and nutrient balance, refresh your cosmetic appearance, and replenish your fluids to leave you feeling HYDRATE’d.
Q: Do you provide services for private parties, events, and corporate wellness programs?
A: Yes, Hydrate Health & Wellness offers mobile IV services for events of all sizes. Contact a member of our team to learn more about how we can accommodate your upcoming private event, party, or corporate wellness program.
Q: What is IV therapy?
A: Traditionally, infusion therapy took place in a medical office only, but today you can receive IV therapy in the comfort of your own home, office, or event while still being supervised by medical professionals. IV therapy delivers a liquid solution through a small plastic medical tube directly into the bloodstream. The solution typically includes a mixture of vitamins and minerals that are customized to the client’s individual needs. During treatment, a registered nurse will insert an IV line into an accessible vein. The IV line is attached to a solution bag and is directly accessing the clients bloodstream for quick absorption and relief of common ailments and symptoms.
Q: How long is a hydration therapy session?
A: Our IV infusion drips involve the placement of a plastic catheter into a vein. This hydration therapy consists of a mixture of vitamins and antioxidants placed in 500-1000mL of an isotonic solution. This will infuse into your body over the course of 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the chosen treatment.
Our intramuscular (IM) Wellness Booster Shots are an injection into a large muscle, usually the deltoid of the arm. These vitamin injections take only seconds to administer.
Q: Who will be administering my hydration infusion therapy treatment?
A: All of our IV infusions and wellness boosters are administered by state licensed and certified Registered Nurses (RN) who are trained and experienced in administering IV and IM treatments. They are supervised by our Medical Director (Jordan McAllister, MSN, FNP-C).
Q: Can I add additional IV vitamins to my existing IV vitamin therapy?
A: Yes you can! Maybe you know what extra vitamins your body needs, if not, your nurse will ask and possibly recommend additional vitamins to help you feel, look and perform better! Check out our Wellness Booster Shots or IV Enhancement Add-Ons for a full list of ingredients that can either be added to your IV therapy (IV) or be given as an intramuscular shot (IM). When you are booking your appointment you can select which medicines you want added or you can tell your nurse when she arrives.
Q: Who can NOT get Hydrate Health & Wellness IV Therapy at this time?
A: IV therapy is usually contraindicated in people with health conditions that may not be able to process large amounts of vitamins and minerals at once as it may interfere with electrolyte and fluid balance in the body. If you have any questions about your eligibility, please contact us and we can evaluate if IV vitamin therapy is recommended for you. Lastly, if you are currently COVID positive, for the safety of our nurses, we will be unable to offer our services. After you test negative, please contact us and we can provide IV therapy to help you recover. Also, if you are under 18 years old or pregnant then IV vitamin therapy is not something that Hydrate Health & Wellness offers at this time.
